  • Always export COLOR0 and COLOR1 in vertex shaders (fixes rendering errors in some fixed func. games)

Fixed Function

  • Ensured normalize(0) -> 0 in fixed function (@CME42 fixes a bug in fr-030 demo)
  • Fixed a bug where fixed function shaders were generating incorrect keys
  • Handled color/alpha write special case behaviour for D3DTOP_DOTPRODUCT3
  • Fixed some minor validation errors and a bug where some fixed function shaders were using features not exposed in GLSL
  • Ignore texcoord count given to API when special transform flags are used.
  • Respect count for texture projection, rather than use the image count
  • Workaround for an Nvidia bug where they were using the incorrect value for projection
  • Fixed bias in D3DTOP_DOTPRODUCT3

Lollyhop

Please do not use wine's d3d9x or d3dcompiler with d9vk. They make invalid API calls and generate bad shaders. I cannot stress this enough.

If you are compiling with MinGW, please use the dwarf2 exception patch to improve performance.

This is story of Polly 'l Hoppe, the lollypop that sure likes to hop.

She was set out to save the children from eating too many vegetables, however out of fear of harming the poor little things during the making of this game, all children were canceled. The game now relies on some good old candy on vegetable violence.

Oh yeah and about the vegetables. Due to budget cuts, the game only includes one vegetable. Still makes a good soup though!

This was the first game I ever made. I actually just started with game dev about 7 days ago, so you know it's going to be good! ;-)

I did pretty much everything myself, the sprites, the animations, the audio and of course the code.

The audio is kind of terrible. Sorry about that. I ran out of time to record something decent. The sound effects are just my voice with some effects. The background music is a loop I recorded using my trusted danelectro, a vox amp and a looper pedal.
I recorded everything on my phone...

I got all 10 in the soup that I can only assume the Polly eats. The art style was also really cool.

You kind of missed the point though, but I guess that's on me. I thought all the pointers were there, the player gains more time as he kills the vegetables, there is at least one direction in which you can not keep traveling without dieing. I thought it would be obvious enough the point is to drop the veggies to a soupy death...

Guess I should've included better instructions, or at least a couple more pointers. Glad you enjoyed it anyway.

Would love to see more of this! Best I can achieve is 8 veggies ...

there's at least one way to solve it.. so if you truly are the master...
